Robertson Barracks Recovery Centre Canvases

Robertson Barracks Recovery Centre Canvases

Last month in the lead up to Anzac Day, we baked and sold over 300 Anzac Biscuits for a fundraising activity. We made a total of $240. The money raised was used to purchase art supplies, including small square canvases for each student to do a painting. Once the canvas paintings are completed they will be mounted on the walls of the common room at the Robertson Barracks Soldier Recovery Centre to help bring some colour and fun to the walls.

52 Storey Treehouse

52 Storey Treehouse

On the final day of school last semester, students from Transition to Grade 6 attended the Darwin Entertainment Centre to watch the theatre performance of the 52 Storey Treehouse. This is the second consecutive year we have been able to watch the Storey Treehouse performances thanks to the support of Buslink, who sponsored four of the seven buses we used to transport our students to and from Darwin City. The students thoroughly enjoyed the show and were keen to read the book again when they got back to school! For some children, it was their first time attending a live theatre performance. Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton have already released the next book in the series, so hopefully we will be able to watch the latest instalment next year!
