Last Friday, 31st March, the Student Leadership Council hosted Funky hair Friday at the school as a part of the Word's Greatest Shave for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Students came to school with funky hair or were transformed at lunchtime with the SLC colouring their hair with hairspray. Mrs Edie auctioned off her plaits before having her head shaved for the event.
Thankyou to Michelle Jones of MAC Hairdressing, Lia Finocchiaro, Kirsty Blackbourne, Amanda Courtney, the SLC and all staff, students and parents for their help and support. So far, over $1000 has been raised which will pay for two families to have accommodation for a week whilst a loved one is receiving treatment for Leukaemia.
