On Thursday 24th November, 2016 Durack School took out 16 prizes at the Scientific Awards and Presentation Night at Charles Darwin University. The night recognised the winners of two competitions, the Science Teachers Association of the Northern Territory who ran the Young Scientist Awards and Royal Australian Chemical Institute, Northern Territory Branch who ran the Crystal Growing Competition Awards. All up there were 26 students from Durack School who received awards.
Durack School itself won the Rowe Early Childhood School Award and came second in the Rowe Scientific Primary School Award. Which just goes to show that we have quality students and quality teachers who are striving for excellence at every opportunity. Well done to all those students who participated and thank you to Mrs Saunders and Mrs Timms for your hard work and dedication in working with the students and entering the competition.
