This week students across the school were treated to a visit by Renice Freeman from the Commonwealth Bank Smart Start program, which focuses on teaching children about financial literacy. Year 1 and 2 lessons focused on the Australian currency and needs as opposed to wants. Year 3 and Year 4 students participated in a great team building session focused on shopping choices, EFTPOS and debit and credit cards. Year 5 and 6 lessons focused on budgeting, ways to earn money and setting financial goals –‘See It, Earn It, Save It!’
