Teaching and Learning

Durack School offers a broad and engaging curriculum to enable our students to develop the knowledge, understanding, skills and abilities they need to be successful learners, develop physically, socially and emotionally and be prepared for the future.

Our Learning Process

The teaching and learning process in underpinned by the Durack Pedagogical Framework. In 2015 staff began implementing strategies based on John Hattie’s Visible Learning. Our key focus is to develop students to take responsibility for their learning through an Inquiry-based Approach - posing questions to encourage children to work out solutions to problems.

The Australian Curriculum

The Australian Curriculum is used for programming, planning and assessment by teachers for students in Transition to Year 6.
